Don E. Carnahan, 57, of 504 S. Main St., Jamestown passed away at 6:51 p.m. Thursday (September 24, 2009) in WCA Hospital.
He was born July 3, 1952 in Jamestown the son of Milton Carnahan and Shirley Hotchkiss Simpson.
Don attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by Dahlstroms Manufacturing. Prior to retirement due to ill health he was employed by Cummins Engine.
He enjoyed attending auctions, watching Dallas Cowboy football games, playing chess in the park and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his children; Jason (Shannon) Carnahan, Charlie (Melissa) Klenke, Brandey (Chris) Oakes, and Mark Burch all of Jamestown, six grandchildren; Delaney Carnahan, Gavin Carnahan, Nicholas Klenke, Brandon Klenke, Peyton Oakes, Marissa Oakes, two brothers; Milton "Bud" Carnahan of Bemus Point, Dan (Brooke) Carnahan of San Antonio, TX , his mother Shirley Hotchkiss Simpson of Ashville, a sister Mary Waugaman of Jamestown, and his cat Chico with whom he made his home.
He was preceded in death by his father Milton Carnahan.
Friends will be received by the family from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
