Jodi Lynn Shaw, 52, of Jamestown died Sunday (January 17, 2010) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.
A lifelong area resident she was born October 31, 1957 in Jamestown. She is the daughter of Donald and Arlie Meabon Caswell of Falconer and Wayne Shaw of Florida.
She enjoyed her neices and nephews dearly. She loved to play cards, go bowling, shopping, karaoke, her cat Lily and spending time with her family and friends. Family gatherings were her favorite. She was a lifelong fan of the Wizard of Oz.
She will be remembered for her big heart and smile and her love of life. She had overcome many obstacles in her lifetime. Her courage and strength was an inspiration to many.
Surviving are her parents, a brother Robert (Sherri) Shaw of Jamestown, two sisters Rhonda (Ted) Lee of Fredonia, Rae (Joe) Bollman of Falconer. Her aunts Marcia (Bob) Ohman, Sandra (Charles) Scholeno, Janice (Dave) Shaw. Nieces Shannon Lee, Elizabeth Ohman, Kathleen Ohman and Mickaela Guffey. Nephews Michael Lee, Robbie Ohman, Nicholas Bollman, Christopher Bollman and Matthew Ohman.
Her cousins Lisa (MIke) Matteo- Digirolamo, Jeffrey (Denise) Ohman and Martin (Kris) Ohman.
A step brother, David Caswell and two step sisters, Bobbie Ann Caswell and Stephanie (Mark) Hilyer.
A half brother Joseph Shaw of Florida.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
