Frances I. Sadowski, 98, formerly of 343 E. Elmwood Ave., Falconer passed away at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday (July 13, 2010) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
A lifelong area resident she was born September 16, 1911 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Harry and Alta Brown Simmons.
Frances attended Falconer High School and was employed by the former Harold Chair Company. She was a member of the Ross Grange, Falconer Senior Citizens, Falconer United Methodist Church and former Elmwood United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons; Gene (Pat) Sadowski of Falconer, Roger (Sandra) Sadowski of Kennedy, nine grandchildren; Mike (Shelly) Sadowski, Steven (Diana) Sadowski, Lynn (Ryan) Stefanik, Kathleen (Dana) Lundberg, Duane (LeeAnn) Sadowski, Scott (Julie)Sadowski, Gary (Debbie) Sadowski, David (Jen)Sadowski, Erica (David) Lobb,17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eric H. Sadowski whom she married May 15, 1935 who died in 1971, a daughter Janet O. Sadowski in 2006, a granddaughter Cynthia Jo Sadowski, a great granddaughter Abby Rose Sadowski, four brothers Byron, Floyd, John and Charles Simmons, three sisters; Lena Coe, Bernice Stratton and Linnie Rounds.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Keith McEntire will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Friday in the funeral home.
