Violet J. "Vi" Huckelbery, 76, of 3398 Old Fluvanna Rd., Jamestown passed away Wednesday (January 11, 2012) in her home.
She was born July 25, 1935 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Madaras Koresko.
Vi was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and in later years had received her real-estate license and was employed by Century 21.
She especially enjoyed pool parties with her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She also enjoyed Chautauqua Lake and traveling with her family.
Vi is survived by her husband James Huckelbery, two sons: James Huckelbery of Kennedy, Jeffrey Huckelbery of Jamestown; a daughter Julie Huckelbery of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Jason Huckelbery, Amanda Huckelbery, Kellen Wefing and Kayla Wefing; four great grandchildren: James Hucklebery, Aubrey Huckelbery, Alexis Andrews and Cody Andrews; her Aunt Helen Plano of Woodbridge VA and her dog Snert III and granddogs Rudy and Riley.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Jamie Huckelbery (March 11, 1991) and her daughter in law Pamela Huckelbery (August 3, 1999).
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev Timothy D. Phelps Chaplain of Hospice of Chautauqua County will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or to a charity of one's choice.
