Roger H. Hussey, 91, of Lake Mary, Florida formerly of Waterboro Hill Rd., Ellington passed away
Monday (January 9, 2012) at his residence in Lake Mary, Florida.
He was born February 4, 1920 in the Town of Ellicott, NY, the son of the late Clifford and Theo
Huntington Hussey.
Roger was a 1938 graduate of Ellington High School and had been employed by Terry Lumber
Company in Ellington for 21 years. Prior to retirement in 1982 he was employed by Hardwood Lumber
Company, Seattle, Washington.
Roger was a member of Longwood Hills Congregational Church, Longwood, Florida.
Surviving are his wife Genevieve Rhoades Hussey whom he married June 1, 1940 in the Town of
Conewango, NY, a daughter Sandra (Dale) Tonger of Longwood, FL, two granddaughters Dawn (Heath) Short and Amy (Robert) Beall both of Longwood, FL and four great grandchildren: Rachael Short, Ryan Short, Haley Beall and Taylor Beall.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother George Robert Hussey.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Levant Cemetery, Falconer, NY.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday.
Memorials may be to a charity of one's choice.
