Darrell R. Schultz, 56, of Celoron formerly of Florida passed away unexpectedly Thursday (February 1, 2018) in his home.
He was born September 2, 1961 in Jamestown, the son of the late Roland W. and Joyce R. Johnson Schultz.
Darrell was a 1979 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School. He was previously employed by Monofrax and had been a car salesman having worked for car dealerships in Florida and New York.
He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Celoron Moose Club and Herman Kent Post American Legion in Celoron. Darrell enjoyed woodworking, hunting, trapping, attending flea markets, going for picnics to Allegheny State Park and caring for stray animals. He was also a caregiver for his mother Joyce.
Surviving are his brother Kenneth H. (Pamela) Schultz of Port Charlotte, FL; three sisters: Marlene J. (Donald) Murphy of Winter Springs, FL, Karen M. Schultz of Jamestown, Dianne S. Ulrich of Lancaster, NY; a niece Heidi Schultz McIntee; four nephews: Brian Murphy, Neil Murphy, Spencer Ulrich and Dillon Ulrich.
He was preceded in death by his father Roland W. Schultz on September 18, 2000; his mother Joyce R. Johnson Schultz on December 9, 2017 and a nephew Darin Schultz.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the memorial service Wednesday in the funeral home.
