James C. Washburg, 87, of Falconer passed away Wednesday (March 21, 2018) in his home.
He was born October 19, 1930 in Jamestown, the son of the late Franklin and Beatrice Reed Washburg.
James attended Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955 in Germany.
He was employed by Automatic Voting Machine for over 40 years and CARTS for 16 years. James was a member of the Herman Kent Post, American Legion, VFW, War Vets and Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Courtney Washburg; five children: Bruce (Lori) Washburg of Lakewood, Bonnie (Don) Fiasco of Jamestown, Brian Washburg (MaryJane VanEvery) of Jamestown, John (Judith) Carney of Austin, Texas, Vickie (James) Godfrey of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and his sister-in-law Maureen Mayer.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle J. Collins; two brothers: Franklin Washburg, LeRoy Davis and a sister Janis Fanalie.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Don Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Fentonville Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
