Obituary of Donna Bimber

Donna J. Bimber, 82, of Sinclairville, formerly of Falconer passed away Thursday (May 4, 2017) in her home.

She was born September 9, 1934 in Franklinville, NY, the daughter of the late Robert Farley and Kathleen Kitchen Crammer.

Donna attended schools in Bradford, PA and Salamanca and in earlier years was employed by Vince's Diner in Falconer. Prior to retirement she was employed by Jamestown Plywood.

She was a member of the former Elmwood United Methodist Church. Donna loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved animals, playing bingo, watching her favorite television shows Golden Girls and Reba, crocheting and going for her Thursday outings. Donna was also very proud of her Irish heritage.

Surviving are her four children: Rebecca (Frank) Sischo of Sinclairville and with whom Donna lived with, Linda D. Shirey of Albany, Patrick W. Shirey of Jamestown, Kathleen J. Shirey of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Jamie (Amy) Shirey of Lake Wylie, SC, Amanda (Josh) Cohen of Queen Creek, AZ, Donna Shirey of Queen Creek, AZ; three great grandchildren: Brooklyn May Shirey of Lake Wylie, Hayden M. and Cameron D. Cohen of Queen Creek; three brothers: Richard Farley of Florida, Gary Farley and Alan Farley both of Gowanda; three sisters: Alice Shields of Jamestown, Rose (Tom) Greeley of Florida; Bobbie (Ray) Poland of Florida; a step son Kevin Bimber of Jamestown; four step grandchildren: Tammy Smith, Jessica Hatfield, Michael and Charlene Silsbey and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband William N. Shirey, whom she married in 1951, who died in 1997; her second husband Elvin P. Bimber whom she married in 1979, who died in 1988; two brothers: Larry Farley and William Crammer; two step daughters: Linda Silsbey and Carol Bimber; her step father Joseph O. Crammer.

Donna's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Chautauqua County Hospice and Palliative Care and Penny Johnson for the care Donna received during her illness.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. James D. Witherington chaplain of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
