James R. Truax, 68, of High Acres, Bemus Point passed away Thursday (September 7, 2017) in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
He was born July 1, 1949 in Phillipsburg, PA, the son of Lloyd C. and Imogene G. Hockenberry Truax.
James was a graduate of Jamestown High School and prior to retirement was employed by the Resource Center.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed watching hockey, football, NASCAR and was an avid bowler. James loved to listen to the scanner.
He is survived by his mother Imogene G. Truax of Bemus Point; four brothers: Thomas Truax of Falconer, Rodney (Connie) Truax of Sinclairville, Roger Truax of Jamestown, Brian Truax of Gerry and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd C. Truax who died February 1, 2016.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Soderberg will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
