Obituary of Oscar See
Oscar Roy See, 77, of East Randolph passed away Thursday (November 9, 2017) in his home that he was born in.
A life-long area resident he was born November 30, 1939 in East Randolph, NY, the son of the late Oscar Lewis and Rosetta L. Stevens See.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Greenland from 1957 to 1960. In earlier years Roy was employed by L & A Tool, Crescent Tool, Proto Tool and Blackstone Corp. Prior to retirement Roy was employed by MRC-SKF retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the of the East Randolph Fire Department for 25 years having served as president, secretary, treasurer; East Randolph VFW and East Randolph Methodist Church.
Roy enjoyed woodworking and especially making wooden toys for children. He was an avid beekeeper, and loved hunting and fishing with his children.
Surviving are his wife Brenda S. Barber See whom he married August 25, 1958 in Steamburg; three children: Trudie Post of Randolph, Terry (Debbie) See of Jamestown; Todd (Durrin) See of Falconer; three grandchildren: Erin (Dan) Hocieniec of Cartersville, Georgia, Kevin Post of Steamburg, Theodora See of Falconer; step grandsons: Mark Slade of Jamestown, Scott Slade (Trina Szata) of Falconer; five great step grandchildren: Jesse Slade, Jacob Slade, Evan Slade, Reed Slade, Ashlee Slade all of Jamestown; and the sister is Rachel Horton of Napoli.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Orson A. See and three sisters: Julia Town, Jeanette Finch, and Mabel Jean See.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. John Barber will officiate. Burial will be in East Randolph Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Sunday in the funeral home.
