Barb, Bruce, Bonnie, Brian and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. Jim was such a awesome man I loved him so much. I have so many awesome memories of his first wife Barb and him while I was growing up. My mom Shirley Hart and Barb were best friends while I was growing up and one memory that sticks out was I went to their house up by the airport on the hill and they had a bunch of baby lambs and I wanted one and of course my mom said no absoluetly no so that weekend before I went to my dads house for the weekend Jim came to the house and as always I ran up and gave him a hug and he pretended he was sick to his stomach but he wanted me to come in the house and talk to him while mom and him had coffee and I did and he told me to come over and ask me to reach in his coat and see if I could feel this lump so I did and to my surprise it was a baby rabbit. I thought my mom was gonna kill him and in the car he had a hutch and food already for me. I was so so happy. Then I was home for a visit before my mom passed and it happened that Jim had a break on his driving patients to appointments and stopped in for coffee so I got to sit and visit with him again. He ALWAYS was laughing and giggleing about something and was always so happy. I will treasure the memories I have of him with both Barbs LOL I always busted him about that cause I never knew which one he was talking about. I was at all your kids weddings and still have pictures of them. Your dad was so happy one those occasions but at Bonnie and Don's he got teary eyed when he spoke of her leaving the family home and how much he would miss her. He loved you kids more than life it's self and always remember that. I know I will see him again and I can see him and my mom chatting about the days at AVM and all the crazy people they worked for and stayed friends with way past the closing of it. I will miss him. RIP Uncle funny Bunny that was my nickname for him since I was about 7 years old. and I am 54 now and when I seen him at mom's that day I called him that and he couldn't believe I still remembered that day in detail.
Brian and family, Cheryl and I send our sincere condolences for the loss of your dad. I remember my own fathers appreciation of the conversations he shared with your dad when he would take him to the VA hospital in Buffalo. Many times because of his illness he would not be in a mood to talk, but Jim always got him talking and put a smile on his face.

Am very sorry for your loss Bruce and family....I am sorry I could not attend the service as I am having serious issues with my dad right now.
