Lynette M. “Netty” Palmeri, 74, of Jamestown passed away Saturday (January 4, 2020) in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie PA. She was born February 1, 1945 in Coudersport, PA the daughter of the late Nolan and Lillian Reed Canfield. Lynette was a graduate of high school in Whitesville, NY and attended a drafting and blue printing school in Wellsville, NY. She retired from Chautauqua Hardware and in earlier years worked for Hope’s Windows. Lynette was a member of the Awana’s Club in Jamestown and was a past member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Jamestown. She loved horses, crocheting and loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son George J. Palmeri Jr.( Lori Kindberg) of Jamestown, her daughter Marie (Anthony) Witherspoon of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren: Stepheni (Michael) Edwards of Elgin, SC, Kianna (Trae) Williams of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Connor Palmeri of Leon, NY; three sisters: Katherine Shay of Portville, NY, Nola Snyder of Farmers Valley, PA, Judy Piersall of Bartlesville, OK. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George J. Palmeri Sr. whom she married January 8, 1966 in Falconer who died February 3, 2004; an infant daughter Julia Palmeri; two brothers: David and George Canfield and a sister Sandra Canfield-Mott. The funeral will be at 10 am Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Penhollow will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm in the funeral home.
