Nina P. Tedesco, 95, of Jamestown passed away Tuesday (February 4, 2020) in her home. An area resident most of her life, she was born September 28, 1924 in Silver Creek, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Petrina Battaglia Lograsso. Nina was a graduate of Silver Creek High School and was a cheerleader. In earlier years during WWII, she was employed at Silver Creek Precision and later at Van Raalte. For most of Nina’s life she was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member and communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, served as Eucharist Minister, Lector and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Nina enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s music and sport functions. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved her dogs especially Tiffany, Lucy and Sophie. She will be remembered for her loving and caring personality, and for her generosity. Surviving are her husband, Thomas A. Tedesco, whom she married June 25, 1949 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Silver Creek; a son, Anthony T. (Grecia) Tedesco of Cumming, GA; three daughters: Roseann M. (Paul) Carlson of Venice, FL, Patricia D. (Daniel) Lindfors of Jamestown, Kathleen J. (Lonnie) Buresh of Scottsdale, AZ; 16 grandchildren: Donna Jones, Lisa (John) Vanstrom, Christopher Carlson, Kevin (Whitney) Tedesco, Kurt (Amy) Tedesco, Shawn (Sarah) Tedesco, Scott (Suzanne) Harding, Todd (Leeanna) Harding, Ryan Lindfors, Michael (Danielle) Tedesco, Theresa Tedesco, Joseph T. Tedesco, Matthew Buresh, Jennifer (Douglas) Daniel, Tommaso Tedesco, Anthony Tedesco; 12 great grandchildren: Christian and Alexander Jones, Jackson and Justin Vanstrom, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Aiden Carlson, Tyler Tedesco, Ethan Harding, Avary and Aiden Harding and Alexander Tedesco; and her twin sister Marie Conover. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Joseph A. Tedesco on October 17, 2016; 2 brothers: Anthony (Geraldine) Lograsso, Charles Lograsso and a brother-in-law Quenley Conover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10 in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer. Rev. Joseph Jananczek pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek, NY. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Altar and Rosary Society of OLL will conduct a rosary service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
