Barbara B. Bell, 82, formerly of Falconer passed away Friday (January 1, 2021) in Heritage Green and Rehab Skilled Nursing. She was born March 8, 1938 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late Robert S. and Ann Louise Dessey Bellis. Barb was a graduate of SS Cosmas & Damian High School in Punxsutawney, and attended Mercyhurst College. Prior to retirement she was employed at Truck-Lite for 22 years and served as secretary for the Local 2495 Union. She was a member of Falconer United Methodist Church. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, attending holiday parades and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Barb will be remembered for always putting others first. Surviving are three children: Deborah (Don) Walters of Celoron, Bryan Bell of Falconer, Susan Bell (Otis) of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Tanya Walters, Tamara (Shawn) Houston, Tiffany (Mike) Prinzi, Jarvelle Leeper, Wayne (Amanda) Leeper Jr. and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl B. Bell whom she married June 28, 1960, who died October 18, 2008; a brother John “Jack” Bellis and twin sisters: Julia Ann and JoAnn Bellis. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Lemon will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
