Beth E. Chandler, 76, of Falconer passed away Tuesday (January 4, 2022) in Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk. A lifelong area resident she was born September 5, 1945 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Albert and Pauline Hallquist Hitchcock Sr. Beth attended Falconer High School and received her GED. She was a dedicated homemaker for her entire life. Beth cared for many children throughout her life and always welcomed them with open arms. She was a member of the Kennedy PTO and assisted with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Beth was a member of the Peace Wesleyan Church and served on the church board, nominating committee, Sunday School teacher and nursery. Surviving are her children: Elizabeth (Dennis) Lewis of Cherry Creek, Mary Jane (Ronald) Brown of Falconer, Eileen Wise (Larry) of Falconer, Teresa Monfort (Josh) of Sinclairville, Christopher Perry Green (Brandi) of Leon, NY, Clara (Dan) Reagle of Warren Lisa (Corey) Cannon of Jamestown, Mathew Meacham of Florida; grandchildren: Dennis Lewis Jr., Andrea Lewis (Jeremy), Alicia Lewis (Corey), Cody Wise, Kevin (Summer) Wise, Kyle Wise, Amarri Camarata, Brittany (Chris) Rickerson, Brianna Green (Ryan), Colt Green, Isabelle Green (new grandbaby on the way), Alexis (Devon) Cameron, David Silliman, Tristan Messere, Montanna Messere, Mira Cannon, Oona Cannon, Brianna Meacham, Devin Meacham; great grandchildren: Zach, Alex, Sophia, Cameron, Novalyne, Addison, Owen, Mason, Meredith, Jackson and Penelope; brothers: Albert “Skip” (Kay) Hitchcock Jr. of Gerry, Paul Hitchcock of Sinclairville, Darwood Hitchcock of Sinclairville, Terry Hitchcock of Conewango Valley; a sister Ann Vine; special nieces: Jeanette Kent, Jennifer Bertch; special nephew: Michael Hitchcock and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Rex and David Hitchcock and a sister Cora Lynn Johnson. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Stephen Strand, Rev. Jason & Rev. Tammy Claydon will officiate. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday in the funeral home.
