Obituary of Troy Little
Troy G. Little, 50, of Sinclairville went home to the Lord on Monday, August 28, 2017, surrounded by all his loved ones. After a courageous battle with cancer.
An area resident most of his life he was born June 23, 1967 in Colorado Springs, CO the son of Gregory D. and Audrey J. Nickerson Little.
Troy was a 1986 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School where he was an all star football player wearing the number 48 and took 2nd at section 6 wrestling tournament. He was known for being "tough as nails". He graduated from Ohio Diesel Technology. He loved to take things apart and could fix anything. His motto was - Piece of cake! He was an entrepreneur and had a passion to work. He never gave up and always did everything 100 percent. He was fortunate to have been an owner of three successful businesses in Chautauqua County. Power Wash, Penhollow Disposal Service and currently Great Lakes Tree Service. His customers loved him because of his friendly attitude and is willingness to help others. He also worked at Ryder Truck and Cassella Waste Services.
Troy was a member of Holy Apostles Parish. He was also a member of Ellery Snow cruisers. He loved to be outdoors snowmobiling, hunting, and building. He always had a vision of something to build and create in his garage or on his homestead. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. His numerous nieces and nephew loved fishing, hunting and Christmas sleepovers with him.
Surviving are his loving wife Anne M. Penhollow Little whom he married December 30, 1988 in Sinclairville: four children: Dylan Little, Sarah Little (future son-in-law, John Schauman) Gerald Little and Sylvana Little: his parents Greg and Audrey Little of Sinclairville, his brother Chad (Amanda) Little of Sinclairville, his sister Angie (Johnathan) Penhollow of Sinclairville, cousin Mark Nickerson of Buffalo. In laws Ralph and Virginia Penhollow of Sinclairville, Sister in laws Betsy (Brian)Abram and Mary (Jon) Moore and Brother in law Stephen Penhollow all of Sinclairville
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Buster William and Rose Nickerson and Paternal grandparents Robert and Doris Little. His grandmothers Elizabeth Wixson and Arlene Little. His aunts Jeanette Jones, Judy Nickerson and Shirley Payne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Holy Apostles Parish, 508 Cherry St., Jamestown, NY 14701. Rev. Dennis Mende pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamestown.
Visitation will not be observed.
