Beverly R. Johnson, 81, of Falconer passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (December 13, 2014) in her home.
She was born January 12, 1936 in Sugar Grove, PA, the daughter of the late Dwight and Beulah Ewer.
Bev was a graduate of Warren County Schools and prior to retirement was employed Falconer Central School as a bus driver.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Bev was an avid horse backer rider and trick rider in her younger years having performed in numerous rodeos.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Surviving are two sons: James R. (Rebecca) Johnson Jr. of Japan, Dan (Marilyn) Johnson of Falconer; a daughter Tammy Hudson of Falconer; seven grandchildren: Laura Johnson of Japan, Lindsay (Ryan) VandeVelde of Falconer, Adam (Deseree) Johnson of Jamestown, Kara Johnson, Ericka Johnson, Connor Hudson and Alex Hudson all of Falconer; three great grandchildren: Kolton VandeVelde, Kendall VandeVelde both of Falconer and Charlotte Johnson of Jamestown; a brother Jack (Shirley) Ewer of Sugar Grove and a sister Blanche Hodges of Sinclairville.
She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Johnson Sr., whom she married June 15, 1957 in Levant Wesleyan Church; who died August 23, 2007; a grandchild Jamie Barnum and great grandchild Paizlee Barnum.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Adam Rohler pastor of First Covenant Church will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Audubon Community Nature Center 1600 Riverside Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701., and to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
