Obituary of Melvin J. Elleman

Melvin J. Elleman, 83, of Cambridge Warren, Pennsylvania formerly of Jamestown, NY passed away peacefully at home. Born May 10, 1935 in Piqua, OH to the late Fred and Bessie Elleman, Melvin was one of 10 children. Melvin served our country as a Marine in Korea and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was very proud of his service.

Melvin married his wife Barbara M. Elleman on December 7, 1967 in Warren, PA. The two had a marriage to envy, He loved his "Barbie" very much.

Mel was a man of many talents and spent a great deal of his retired life working on and restoring classic cars. He and Barb enjoyed entering their Mustang in classic car shows. He was a very talented upholsterer and used those talents in other areas of interest such as building intricate kites and model cars. He enjoyed gardening, and bird watching and took pride in the number of species he attracted to his feeders. Mel was a diehard Bills fan and hated to miss a game and also enjoyed NASCAR. He loved his family and taking photographs of them, especially his grandchildren.

Melvin is survived by four sons, Richard A Milliman of Jamestown, and Randy (Hillary) Elleman of Greenhurst, Kirk Elleman and Jeff Elleman of the greater Rochester areas, a son in law Richard Jose of Buffalo, NY. Melvin was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Leighann (Rob) Sargent, Jesse (Hana) Milliman, Kayleigh (Bradley) Sieber, Carlie Jose, Kyle Jose, Samantha Elleman and Grayson Elleman, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Fred Fritz.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, many siblings, his beloved Barbie, and his beautiful daughter Ella M. Jose.

The family would like to welcome friends Monday October 22, 2018 at 6:00pm at the Falconer Funeral Home for visitation as well as a memorial service to be held at 7:00pm given by Rev. Daniel Rumfelt.

A special note of gratitude from the family to those that loved and cared for Melvin and Barbara during their time at Cambridge of Warren. Thank you.
