Robert W. Patch, 83, of Jamestown passed away Saturday (February 23, 2019) in his home.
An area resident most of his life he was born May 4, 1935 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Elmer R. and Ruth McCauley Patch.
Robert was a graduate of Sheffield High School and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1954 to 1955.
Prior to retirement he was employed by Truck-Lite for 27 years retiring in 1999.
Robert was a race car enthusiast and raced cars at Stateline Speedway and Erie Speedway. He also raced RC cars and enjoyed golfing.
Surviving are his wife Kay I. Myers Patch whom he married September 8, 1984 in Celoron; a son Jeffrey Patch of Jamestown; a step daughter Dawn (Walter) Hancock of Washington, DC; step son Warren (Staci) Whittenhall Jr. of Celoron; four grandchildren: Ashley Patch of Jamestown, Alex Patch, Aaden Patch, Braydon Patch all of Pittsfield; seven step grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren; two sisters: Sallye (Dan) Neizmik of North Carolina and Pat Uber of Pennsylvania.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a step-daughter Tammy Robbins and a brother-in-law Floyd Uber.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Visitation will not be observed.
