David G. Muntz, 68, of Busti, formerly of Randolph passed away Tuesday (March 26, 2019) in his home with his family by his side.
A lifelong area resident he was born May 1, 1950 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Gail and Nora McMillan Muntz.
He was a graduate of Southwestern High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973.
David was employed by S.M. Flickengers and Sysco Foods. He was a member of the Randolph Post 181, American Legion, Sugar Grove AMVETS, Moose Lodge and Randolph Rod & Gun Club.
He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing and especially shooting trap.
Surviving are his son Jason (Jill) Muntz of Randolph; two grandsons: SPC. Branden (Charlene) Muntz, U.S. Army of Colorado Springs, CO; Dylan Muntz of Randolph; a great grandson Bryan A. Muntz of Colorado Springs, CO; three brothers: Dennis (Jill) Muntz of Busti, James (Mary) Muntz of Frewsburg, Michael (Roberta) Muntz of Russell, PA; a sister Kelly (Randy) Pattyson of Sinclairville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gail and Nora Muntz.
A special thanks go to David’s caregivers, Dylan, Amanda and Travis for the care and empathy they gave Dave during his illness.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Busti Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Randolph Post 181, American Legion.
