Obituary of Dennis C. Graham

Dennis C. Graham, 79, of Kennedy, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side.

A lifelong area resident he was born on February 20, 1940 in Jamestown, the son of the late Vinnie and Hubert Graham Sr.

He was employed at Monofrax for 38 years as a Millwright, retiring in 2003.  He was an honorary lifetime member of Kennedy Fire Department and member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, softball, bowling and racing go-carts.  He loved his grandsons and doing outdoor projects with them, puttering around in his garage and helping out others with anything they needed.

Surviving is the love of his life Donna Lou Franklin Graham whom he married April 29, 1961 in Clarks Corners Community Church.  Together they had two children: Sherri Graham of Falconer and Dennis Graham II of Kennedy.  Three grandsons: Aaron and Andrew Graham and Nicholas Oakes.  Also surviving are his sister Mary Jane Pond (Richard); brothers: Stephen Graham (Nancy) and James Graham (Marlene) and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1966; his mother in 2007; his sister Donna Ericsson in 1993 and a brother Hubert Graham Jr. in 2000.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home.  Rev. Timothy Phelps chaplain of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate.  Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
