Stanley L. Peru, 78, of Falconer passed away Wednesday (August 28, 2019) in his home surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
A lifelong area resident he was born February 24, 1941 in Jamestown, the son of the late Howard and Gladys Ringer Peru.
Stan attended Chautauqua High School and in earlier years was employed by Shults Auto Group. Prior to retirement he was a self-employed mechanic.
In earlier years Stan enjoyed playing ice hockey and roller hockey. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, race cars and spending time with his family.
Surviving are four children: Debra Hall, Darleen Peru, Dawn (Lee) Milliman all of Randolph, Danny Peru of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother Gerald “Butch” (Karen) Peru of Corry, PA; two sister-in-law’s: Joyce Peru and Diane Peru.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Jim Hall; two brothers: Paul Peru and Howard Peru Jr.; and a sister Gertrude Pickle.
A celebration of life for Stan will be held at a later date.
