Roy E. Knott, 81 of Falconer passed away Tuesday (January 26, 2021) in Heritage Green & Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born January 27, 1939 in Jamestown the son of the late Cecil and Madeline Ribbing Knott.
Roy attended Jamestown High School and in earlier years was employed at TOPS Friendly Markets in Falconer. He played the accordion in the Stardusters Band in the 1960’s and 1970’s in many area clubs. He was a member of the Falconer Moose Lodge, involved in volunteer work there and he attained the highest degree, that of Pilgrim.
He is survived by his son David (Nora) Knott of Harrisburg, PA; two grandchildren Jonathan and Julie Knott of Harrisburg, PA; a brother Leslie (Bud) Knott of Absolut Of Westfield; a sister Delores Leonard of Jamestown; a niece Cindy (Kurt) Zindler of Jamestown; nephews Greg (Marsha) Leonard of Jamestown, Marty (Lorie) Leonard of E. Amherst and Ron (Marijane) Leonard of N. Canton, Ohio , as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Herman Leonard.
Visitation will not be observed.
A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.
