Obituary of Teresa J. Buccola

Teresa J. Buccola, 94, of Falconer passed away Sunday (April 4, 2021) in UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident she was born September 3, 1926 in Falconer, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Cavaretta Buccola. She was a 1943 graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by Steel Partitions which eventually became Dowcraft Corporation for 50 years. She retired in 1992 as administrative assistant. Teresa was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and the OLL Altar Guild. She enjoyed reading, her tomato garden, entertaining and walking with her sister Mary. Surviving are two nephews: Joseph (Stephanie) Buccola, Lory (Amy) Buccola; two nieces Sylvia Chiazzese and Louise Chiazzese; two grandnieces: Michelle Buccola, Ashely Buccola; three grandnephews: Joey Buccola, Jason Buccola, Chad Buccola; three great grandnephews: Brody Taylor, Isaac Destro, Blake Buccola; a great grandniece Ryleigh Buccola and a sister-in-law Merrilyn Buccola. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Buccola, Loretta Chiazzese; a brother Lory Buccola and a niece Sarah Ann Buccola. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Joseph Jananczek pastor of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 309 W. Everett St., Falconer, NY 14733 or to the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, NY 14733.
