Niel G. “Skip” Frazier, Jr., 68, of Ellington passed away Sunday (September 5, 2021) in UPMC Chautauqua.
A lifelong area resident he was born March 7, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of the late Niel G. and Katherine Cooper Frazier Sr.
Skip was a graduate of Falconer High School and prior to retirement was employed by the Town of Ellington Highway Department for over 30 years.
He ws a 50 year member of the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department, serving in many capacities. He was currently serving as Fire Commissioner.
He was a member of the Randolph Rod & Gun Club and Ellington Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed trapshooting and hunting.
Surviving is his wife Brenda J. Smith Frazier whom he married December 30, 1972 in Ellington; six children: Jennifer (Jeff) Miller of Cherry Creek, Lisa (Chris) Swanson of Jamestown, Elizabeth (Clarence) Dickerson of Kennedy, Eric Frazier of Falconer, Valerie Giovannini of Pittsburg, Zachary Frazier of Ellington; nine grandchildren; two brothers: Gary Frazier of Florida, Charles Frazier of Bemus Point; two sisters: Bonnie (Maurice) Wright of Jamestown and Priscilla (Jim) Morrison of Conewango Valley.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Grace Elizabeth Dickerson and Ryan Jacob Miller.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ellington Fire Department.
Memorials may be donated to the Ellington Fire Department or Randolph Rod & Gun Club.
