Obituary of Floyd R. Dalrymple

Floyd Raymond “Billy” Dalrymple, 62, of Bemus Point passed away Wednesday (October 6, 2021) in UPMC Chautauqua. He was born March 11, 1959 in Oneida, NY, the son of the late Wallace R. and Theodate Sperling Dalrymple. Floyd was a graduate of Baldwinsville High School and in earlier years was employed by Fillbrook Foods. He currently was employed by Wave Point Trucking in Fredonia. Floyd will be remembered as a giving person, a natural caregiver to others and was passionate about his work ethic. He enjoyed buying jewelry for his wife and spending time with family. He was a proud member of the farming community (Holstein cattle) and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a patriot who loved his country and freedom, but his biggest passion was his relationship with God and Jesus. He was a great man. Surviving is his wife Angela R. Petri Dalrymple whom he married October 3, 1985 in Niagara Falls, NY; five children: AnnMarie (Bill) Spears of Arizona, Kevin (Michelle) DeOrio of Skaneateles, NY, Debra (Brian) Bourlier of Rochester, NY, Kate Dalrymple-Anderson (Jon Anderson) of Erie, PA, Kane Dalrymple of Jamestown; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers: Mike McElroy of Iowa and Steve (Renee) Bodie of Bridgewater; five sisters: Georgina (Howard) Bligh of Bridgewater, NY, Patti Masters of Georgia, Susayne (Bill) Horton of Iowa, Kathleen Dalrymple of Camdon, NY and September McElroy of Iowa. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his biological mother Virginia McElroy; three brothers: Donnie McElroy, Richard McElroy and infant brother George Dalrymple. A celebration of Floyd’s life will be held at a later date.
