Obituary of Andrew C. White

Andrew C. White, 41, of Buffalo, NY formerly of Maple Springs, passed away unexpectedly Friday (November 19, 2021) due to a tragic fall at his home. He was born March 20, 1980 in Jamestown, NY the son of Deborah (Haskin) Langebartel and Henry C. White. Andy was a graduate of Maple Grove High School and SUNY Fredonia. He was most recently employed by Lowes in Buffalo and by Delta Airlines at Buffalo International Airport. Andy described himself as “seed keeper, beekeeper, water protector, potter, musician, poet, dreamer, do-er”. He was former proprietor of Wishberry in Fredonia, NY with his friend, Brian Davis, and was instrumental in starting the Winter Farmer’s Market in Fredonia in 2008. Andy lived for several years in Eugene, OR and Eagle, CO. He enjoyed travels and adventures throughout the US and to several countries, especially to Ghana, Belize and Cuba. Andy LOVED music. As a talented musician, he enjoyed performing solo and with friends at various venues throughout the Chautauqua and Buffalo areas. He was passionate about beekeeping and organic farming. Andy was a peaceful social activist and proud of his Native American heritage. He was honored to participate as a water keeper at Standing Rock, ND in 2016. He will be greatly missed by many loving, caring, wonderful friends and family members throughout the country. Surviving are his mother and step-father Deborah and Paul Langebartel of Maple Springs and Ft Myers, FL, his father Henry White of Kenmore, his brother Jonathan Langebartel, his sister Leah Langebartel his “favorite” niece Emilia Emo, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Jack and Martha Kolstee, and his favorite uncle, John Langebartel. The funeral service for Andrew will be held at 11AM Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home, 44 W Falconer St, Falconer, NY. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM Tuesday, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date in Bemus Point Cemetery.
