Obituary of Mary A. Fraterrigo

Mary A. Fraterrigo, 84, of Falconer passed away Thursday (December 23, 2021) in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born January 22, 1937 in Salamanca, NY, the daughter of the late William and Ella Knorr O’Brien. Mary attended Randolph High School and in earlier years was employed by Dr. Kantor and A & P Store. Prior to retirement she was employed by Quality Markets. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Vikings Lodge and Moose Club. Mary enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dogs Geno and Henry, reading, baking, traveling, going for lunch and shopping. Surviving are four daughters: Robin Fraterrigo of Falconer, Tina (Jerry) Ivy of Ft. Worth, TX, Rosella (Mark) Schwartz of Sugar Grove, PA, Marie (Michael) Brinkley of Arlington, TX; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Rochelle, Jeremy, Jerrod, Adam, Noah, Rowan, Ryder; two great grandchildren; a brother William O’Brien of Westfield; a sister: Sister Eleanor O’Brien of Buffalo and her sister-in-law Libby (Dan) Adamczyk of Blasedale, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Fraterrigo whom she married November 1, 1955 in Kennedy, who died June 7, 2021; four brothers: Bernard, Joe, John and Phil O’Brien; and a sister Rita Snyder. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Visitation will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 309 W. Everett St., Falconer, NY 14733 or the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, NY 14733.
