Obituary of Lois Patricia Guarnett

Lois Patricia "Pat" Guarnett, 90, of Pocahontas, Arkansas went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on February 9, 2022. Lois was born on September 8, 1931 in Ellington, NY to the late James Funcell, Sr. and Mildred Nelson Funcell of Ellington. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband Hershell Gerald (Jerry) Guarnett in 2013; five sisters: Anne Marie (Richard) Peters, Audrey Jean Soukup, Phyllis Joan Funcell, Rose Mary (Neil) Ormond and Nancy Greeley. She was also predeceased by two brothers, James (Jeanette) Funcell, Jr. and Carl Nelson Funcell. Lois is survived by her five children: David (Cynthia) Vives of Lakeland, FL, Sheila Vives of Pocahontas, AR, Wendy (Rod) Pennica of Fredonia, NY, Joni (Earl) Riggle of Sinclairville, NY and Gregory (Brenda) Guarnett of Langham, SK, Canada. Lois is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, her brother Steve Funcell in Randolph, NY as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lois graduated from Jamestown High School in 1949. She moved from New York to Florida and worked full-time at various jobs. After moving from Florida to Arkansas in 1973 she found enjoyment in being a full-time homemaker and living on a small ranch. When they later moved to Pocahontas she took great delight in attending Freedom Church of Northeast Arkansas and finding "bargains" at garage sales and auctions. The family thanks Falconer Funeral Home for looking after her final arrangements and laying their Mom to rest at Ellington’s Valley View Cemetery. In August Lois’ family will hold a Memorial Service to honor their mother’s life.
