Douglas H. Arnold, 70, of Falconer passed away Thursday (March 24, 2022) in his home.
He was born on June 10, 1951 in Jamestown the son of the late Gordon Arnold and Sara Wicks.
Douglas graduated from Falconer High School in 1969 and attended Jamestown Community College and SUNY Fredonia.
An avid sports fan, Douglas enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, and the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. He loved listening to all kinds of music, especially classical and rock and roll, and was an avid concert goer. Douglas enjoyed playing cards with his dear friends Mark, Jimbo, Dave, and Jason in their Monday night Acey Deucey card group, and was known to them as “Big Cat”. He was a member of the National Wildlife Federation and loved all things history, including frequent trips to Gettysburg. He adored his late dog Peggy and loved being around his special caretakers Jennifer, Jeff, Julie, and Josie.
He is survived by two aunts: Audrey Wicks of Randolph, Celia Bolyard of Madison, Wisconsin; many cousins.
Besides his parents, Douglas is preceded in death by two special uncles: Gerald of Minnesota, Frank Wicks.
A memorial service will be held on April, 2nd 2022 at 11a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Randolph, NY. Reverend Luke Foder will officiate.
